Shotts lifts first prize at the Lomond and Clyde Invitational
Shotts triumphs over other top UK bands to lift first place at the long awaited Lomond and Clyde Invitational competition at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow.
After performing twice in the afternoons qualifiers and twice again in the evening, Shotts were placed first in this, the first competitionof their centennial year. The band performed their MSR and then blew the crowd away on
both occasion with a new 2010 season medley. The level of competition was fierce with excellent performances from all of the participants. The grade one newcomers, Inverary and District, put on an exciting performance and picked up 2nd place, third went to Fife Constabulary and fourth to Vale of Athol.

The event, which was hosted at the Radisson Blu hotel in Glasgow, was the first indoor Pipe Band competition for many years and proved to be a great success with both bands and spectators alike.

Shotts would like to thank Lomond and Clyde Pipe Band for inviting them to participate and look forward to being included in future events with the band.
